Lyrics
English
If all the laddoos were one Laddoo
Oh! What a BIG Laddoo it would be!
If all the children were one child
Oh! What a BIG child that would be!
If all the seas were one sea
Oh! What a BIG sea it would be!
Then if the BIG child
picked the BIG Laddoo
And threw it into the BIG sea
Oh! What a BIG SPLISH-SPLASH it would be!
Oh! What a BIG Laddoo it would be!
If all the children were one child
Oh! What a BIG child that would be!
If all the seas were one sea
Oh! What a BIG sea it would be!
Then if the BIG child
picked the BIG Laddoo
And threw it into the BIG sea
Oh! What a BIG SPLISH-SPLASH it would be!
Summary
The poem uses imagination to imagine all laddoos becoming one huge laddoo. It then imagines all children becoming one giant child and all seas becoming one enormous sea. The giant child throws the giant laddoo into the giant sea. This creates a wonderfully huge splish-splash in the poem. The playful exaggeration makes the poem funny and encourages children to enjoy imaginative thinking.
